Kenneth Gallarzo, who started Systematic Calisthenics, says it’s all about using gravity and your own weight to make your workouts tougher.

So, What’s Calisthenics?

Calisthenics is a word from Greek that means beauty and strength. It began as a way to keep school kids healthy and strong. 

But it’s grown into something a lot like gymnastics, except you can do it outside, anywhere you want. A lot of people get into calisthenics because they see someone doing something amazing and want to try it themselves. 

For Gallarzo, it all started when he saw someone do a muscle-up at the gym. He was so impressed, he decided to switch from weight lifting to using his body weight.
